QRE process

From application to a maintained certificate.

The QRE process is QRE Cert’s path from application to a maintained ISO certificate. Each step has a written output before the next one starts. Typical first-cycle time is 8–16 weeks after a complete application.

Auditors sampling implementation on a production floor

01 — Application

Tell us the legal entity and the scope

Send the legal name, sites, headcount, shifts, and requested standard (for example ISO 9001 or ISO 14001). We check conflicts of interest and confirm we can cover the activities named. You receive a confirmation of scope or a written reason if we cannot take the file.

02 — Document review

The system on paper is read first

The lead auditor reads the manual, procedures, legal register where relevant, and recent internal-audit and management-review records. Gaps are listed before Stage 1 is booked so the on-site time is spent on implementation, not missing documents.

03 — Stage 1 and Stage 2

Readiness, then implementation

Stage 1 confirms the system is ready to be sampled. Stage 2 samples how the system runs at the sites in scope. Nonconformities are graded major or minor and given a close-out date. Multi-site sampling follows the rule stated on the application confirmation.

04 — Certification decision

A second person decides

A reviewer who did not audit the file decides whether to issue. The certificate states scope, sites, standard, and expiry. It is not a product approval and it does not cover activities left off the scope.

05 — Surveillance

The certificate stays valid only with follow-up

We return at planned intervals, usually each year. A certificate remains valid only while surveillance is completed and major findings are closed. Recertification is planned before the three-year expiry.

06 — Transfer

Moving a certificate from another body

If you hold a current accredited certificate, we can review the last report, open findings, and remaining cycle before accepting a transfer. Suspended or withdrawn files are not transferred as valid certificates.

FAQ

Questions applicants ask.

What should we send with the application?

Legal name, NPWP or equivalent, site list, headcount, requested standard, and any existing certificate number. Email qre.cert@gmail.com.

Can we fail Stage 2 and still be certified later?

Yes, after major nonconformities are closed and evidence is reviewed. The decision is recorded only when the file is complete.
