Like other accredited certification bodies, we separate audit work from the certification decision. We do not consult on the systems we later audit. Every current certificate is listed on the public Search register.
Impartial
Audit teams have no role in designing the management system under review. A reviewer who did not audit the file decides whether to issue.
Documented
Findings, scope, sites, and exclusions are written in plain language. The certificate states the standard and the expiry date.
Checkable
Buyers and regulators can confirm a file by certificate number or company name. Nothing off this register should be treated as a QRE Cert certificate.
Certification process
From application to a maintained certificate.

Apply
Legal name, sites, headcount, and requested standard. We screen conflicts of interest before any visit is booked.

Audit
Document review, then Stage 1 and Stage 2. Nonconformities are graded and given a close-out date.

Decide
An independent reviewer records the decision. The certificate names scope, sites, standard, and expiry.

Maintain
Surveillance on a set cycle, usually annually, with recertification at three years.

Is ISO certification the same as accreditation?
No. Accreditation is a check of this certification body. ISO certification is a check of your organisation’s management system. Confirm our status on the Accreditation page and on the national accreditation directory.
How do I verify an ISO certificate?
Use Search with the certificate number or the legal company name. If nothing appears, the file is not on this register.
How long does first certification take?
A complete application typically takes 8–16 weeks through Stage 2 and the certification decision, depending on headcount, sites, and how quickly findings are closed. See QRE Process.
Do you write the management system for us?
No. Consulting on a system we later audit would break impartiality. We assess the system you already operate.
